Frankfurt Airport, known by its IATA code FRA and ICAO code EDDF, is a major international airport located in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region, the third-largest metropolitan region in Germany. It’s centrally located just 7 miles southwest of central Frankfurt, near the Frankfurter Kreuz where the A3 and A5, two of Europe’s busiest roads, intersect. Frankfurt Airport is the busiest in Germany and ranks as the 4th busiest in Europe, following London Heathrow, Paris–Charles de Gaulle, and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. It’s also Europe’s busiest airport in terms of cargo traffic.

The airport features two passenger terminals, four runways, and extensive logistics and maintenance facilities, allowing it to handle more than 60 million passengers annually.
